The Aphasia Brain Injury Communication and Cognition (ABC) Lab studies the behavioral and neural factors that support the recovery of language and cognition in people who have aphasia and/or a traumatic brain injury.

We invite individuals to take part in research studies that explore the interaction between language, cognition (attention, memory, planning), and the brain.

 Our lab focuses on questions like:

• How does your ability to pay attention affect how well you understand what is being said?
• Does speech prosody improve our ability to understand language?
• Do individuals have differences in their verbal and non-verbal cognitive abilities?
