Research

Research conducted in the Ismail Center aims to investigate the relationship among physical activity, nutrition, and physical and psychological health.  Researchers work to develop models to improve exercise and eating habits throughout the life span, putting an emphasis the development of applications for older adult populations. While individual faculty members have varied research interests, the center is designed to facilitate research that focuses on the effects of acute and chronic exercise on middle-aged and older adults and foster interdisciplinary research programs that investigate new realms of clinical, applied and basic exercise science.
