Undergraduate Research Assistants

Students play a critical role in our research lab dedicated to understanding language and literacy development in brain and behavior. As a research assistant, you can expect to read research articles, receive training in data management, and participate in hands-on data collection. Other opportunities may include training in data analysis, presenting at the Purdue Undergraduate Research Symposium, and professional development around job and graduate school applications.

Students may receive research credits through HDFS or PSY 390 or SLHS 490. New research assistants are expected to commit to at least two consecutive semesters. The best time to join our group is prior to or at the beginning of fall semester. Because of the nature of our work, we do not accept new students part-way through a semester.
