
Kristine directs the BDL, and also serves as director for health and human sciences for the Methodology Center as well as associate dean for graduate students and postdoctoral scholars for the College of Health and Human Sciences. Her research interests include: Gene-environment interplay, prenatal experiences, physiological responses to stress, pubertal development, parenting and parent-child relationships, development of behavior problems and substance use; quantitative methods for longitudinal and genetically informed data

Jennifer is interested parent-child synchrony (e.g., where parents and adolescents feel, act, and/or physiologically respond in similar ways together) across modalities (emotional, behavioral, and physiological) and time scales (momentary, daily, and eventually monthly) in order to better understand the role of this attunement in the development of healthy relationships and the mental health of parents and youth.
