PEARL Lab
Dr. Purpura’s lab focuses on a wide range of early mathematics and reading development to interventions for children at-risk of later mathematics difficulties.
LLAMA Lab
Dr. Borovsky’s lab focuses on research regarding language and cognitive development.
Child Phonology Lab
Dr. Brosseau-Lapré’s lab focuses on speech production, speech perception, phonological awareness, and language skills to better understand the causes and subtypes of Speech Sound Disorder.

Dr. Elenbaas’s lab focuses on how children think about people, groups, and society.
Auditory Cognitive Neuroscience Lab
Dr. Kaganovich’s lab focuses on how the developing brain changes as it learns to merge different senses and more.
Kelleher Lab
Dr. Kelleher’s lab integrates applied psychology with developmental cognitive neuroscience to reach their goal of identifying predictors of risk and resilience in clinical populations from infancy to adolescence.

Dr. Leonard’s lab focuses on understanding why some children have difficulty learning language and to discover ways to help them learn language more successfully.

Dr. MacNeill’s lab focuses on the social-emotional processes that foster family resilience and lead to healthy child development, in an effort to promote early mental health for all children.
Marks Lab
Dr. Marks’ lab focuses on the connections between spoken language skills and reading acquisition across children with diverse learning needs, and how educational interventions impact literacy development.
C.A.R.E Lab
Dr. Stanley’s lab focuses on engaging in research in a collaborative way that focuses on resilience, resistance, and advocacy for underrepresented groups in the U.S. society and globally.
Purdue LEa-PP
Dr. Loudermill leads the Purdue Literacy Education and Practice Project (Purdue-LEaPP). The project focuses on the local and national call for overall improved literacy outcomes in school-age children through innovative, evidence-based education and training.
CREATE
Dr. Begeske is a Founding Co-Director of the Center for Research and Equipment for Assistive Technology in Education (CREATE). The center is an Assistive Technology (AT) library and makerspace for individualizing and creating the next generation of AT interventions.
CL2EAR
Dr. Wessel-Powell is the Director of the Center for Literacy and Language Education and Research (CL2EAR). The center is committed to enhancing the overall quality of literacy and language instruction for PK-12 students through its research, policy transformation, and high-quality teacher development.
LEAF Lab
Dr. Sarah Eason leads the Learning, Engagement, and Families (LEAF) Lab. The lab focuses on how families support young children’s cognitive development and learning. The goal of their research is to help parents, caregivers, and families promote children’s knowledge, skills, and positive attitudes towards learning.
