Ariana Moffitt

Biography

Ariana is a lab manager, overseeing human research studies for three faculty members in the Department of Nutrition Science. Her work centers on studies related to colorectal cancer, chronic kidney disease, and the gut microbiome. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Genetics with a minor in Sociology from Purdue University in 2021 and completed her Master of Public Health (MPH) at Purdue in 2023. Her academic background fostered a keen interest in the intersection of genetics, public health, and nutrition, a complex relationship she is exploring in her current role.  Additionally, Ariana is passionate about women’s health and enhancing science communication to make complex information accessible to the general public.
