Biography
Chenell Loudermill, PhD, CCC-SLP, has over twenty years of experience as a Speech-Language Pathologist, thirteen of which were obtained working as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the public schools before moving to higher education. Chenell has expertise in literacy development, assessment and treatment of language-based literacy disorders such as dyslexia, and supporting individuals with social communication and interaction difficulties. Other interests include leadership, administration and supervision in speech-language pathology, culturally responsive practices and pedagogy, and interprofessional education and practice. Chenell leads the Purdue Literacy Education and Practice Project (Purdue-LEaPP) and is the Project Director for an Office of Special Education Programs (OSEP) personnel development program grant. Chenell is a member of several professional organizations such as the National Black Association for Speech, Language and Hearing (NBALSH) and the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA).
