Biography
Debra K Lawler is working remote from mid-Michigan; she started at Purdue University as a Business Assistant on the Finance Team supporting the Psychological Sciences Business Office.
Debra is the Co-Owner and CEO of AMD Property Group, LLC; they focus on updating dilapidated properties, in Michigan communities, to assist area residents in maintaining property values. This minority business is owned and operated by herself and a Retired Veteran. They support small, local businesses and employ underprivileged members of the community to accomplish their business goals while providing for the area citizens.
With plans to continue her education, Debra aspires to obtain her master’s degree and a Ph.D. at Purdue.
She chaired the first Technology Division Career Fair, that brought in nearly 200 students and over 100 vendors and grew it annually for nine years, until the pandemic changed the dynamics of the event.
Debra was the original designer and editor of the Flint Chapter of the American Association for Women in Community Colleges (AAWCC) Campus Newsletter and supported over 80 students during her role as the Advisor to the Mott Community College Technology Club.
Debra is currently writing her first book and hopes to be published in early 2024.
