Josh has a farming background where he was owner and operator of an 800-acre farm crops consisting of corn, soybeans, and hay. He raised Chickens, Ducks, Honeybees, and 50 head of beef cattle (cow calf operation), working with Ceres Solutions to create a hay substitute that exceeds the normal nutritional value of pure alfalfa hay per tonnage. This unique blend of plants included drought resistance and flowering plants all summer to increase honeybee production. These plants continued to flower all summer for pollinators. This unique blend of plants provided the cattle with a salad type meal, giving a variety of nutrients otherwise not found in pure alfalfa, which also increased milk production and growth within the herd.
