Biography

Katherine Smith, MS, CCC-SLP is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Speech, Language, Hearing Sciences at Purdue University. She was previously a school-based SLP in Madison County Schools in Huntsville, AL. She received both her Bachelor’s degree and Master’s degree from the University of South Florida. She holds the Certification of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, as well as the Indiana State License in Speech-Language Pathology. Her primary clinical interests are the effective provision of school-based speech and language services and the evaluation and treatment of pragmatic language, especially in children and adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
