Biography
Dr. Shandey Malcolm is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Public Health. She holds a Ph.D. in epidemiology from the University of Miami and an MPH with a dual concentration in epidemiology and biostatistics from the University of South Florida. Following graduate school, she worked as an epidemiologist at the Ministry of Health and Human Services of the Turks and Caicos Islands. Her primary responsibilities included conducting public health surveillance, coordinating outbreak response (along with a multidisciplinary team), performing health data analysis, and conducting health research. Her research focuses on preventing risky health behaviors (especially drug use and sexual risk behaviors) in adolescence.
