Julie Holliday Wayne, a professor in the Wake Forest University School of Business, will explore implications of the “invisible family load” for employee health and well-being, job attitudes, and family-to-work spillover.

Though the idea of ‘invisible work’ in families has been discussed many times, Holliday Wayne’s 2024 Kanter Award-winning research, draws on a mixed-method, five study approach to conceptualize and operationalize “invisible family load” and provides a new, robust and well-validated measure of that work.
