C. Harold Veenker Health Education Scholarship
The C. Harold Veenker Scholarship is an endowed, four-year academic scholarship established by Professor C. Harold Veenker and his wife, Betty. The $1,000 scholarship is to be given to a first-year student studying health education in school-based settings (e.g., health and safety teaching) who has a minimum 2.65 GPA. Award may go to upperclassmen in the absence of a first-year student recipient. Award recipients who maintain a 2.5 grade point average may renew the scholarship in each of the next three years.

F.T. ‘Pete’ Miller Memorial Scholarship
The Miller family established the F.T. “Pete” Miller Memorial Scholarship as a tribute to Pete’s love of students and commitment to their education. The selected student will receive a one-time award of $500.
Eligibility Requirements:
- The student should be a junior or senior.
- Preference is for a teaching major, but other majors will be considered.
- The student should have service experience in the community or University.
- Financial need as determined by Purdue’s Division of Financial Aid, based upon the FAFSA.
Award: $500
Jane Maver and Ray Anne Shrader Scholarship Award
One scholarship of $1,000 will be awarded to an undergraduate kinesiology or movement and sports science major (previously physical education major) who will be a junior or senior during the academic year following the application.
The applicant must have a minimum of 45 credits earned at Purdue; be making satisfactory degree progress; and have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.5.
Preo Scholarship
Preference is given to students enrolled in the sports medicine concentration pursuing admission into the Purdue athletic training graduate program.
Criteria: Sophomores (or their junior and senior year) who have demonstrated financial need as documented by the Division of Financial Aid.

Undergraduate Travel
The purpose of the Undergraduate Travel Support Fund is to partially support the travel costs associated with having been invited to present research or an original paper at a regional or national professional meeting, performing duties as an officer or representative at a regional or national professional association meeting, or making a professional/application presentation at a regional or national professional association meeting.
Mary Jane Catherwood Scholarship
The Mary Jane Catherwood Scholarship is an endowed scholarship established by Charles and Maria Mann. Mr. Mann, a 1939 graduate of Purdue, was a student-athlete who participated in tennis and football and spent a significant portion of his professional life coaching young athletes. Mr. Mann has established the scholarship in memory of his aunt, who was a lifelong teacher and educational administrator who owned the area known as Happy Hollow.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Undergraduate students studying to become health education and/or physical education teachers.
- Preference given to first-year students.
- Minimum 2.65 GPA.
- Financial need as determined by Purdue’s Division of Financial Aid, based upon the FAFSA.
- May be renewed if recipient continues to meet eligibility requirements.
Award: $1,000
Red and Jan Anderson Scholarship
Awarded to a student enrolled in any major in the Department of Health and Kinesiology.
Criteria: Demonstrated academic merit.
Award: $1,000
Gene and Wilma Parks Memorial Scholarship
Awarded to an incoming full-time first-year student enrolled in physical education teacher education, or an alternative major.
Criteria: Financial need, minimum high school accumulated GPA of B-, and a minimum accumulated GPA of 2.5 at Purdue.
Award: $1,000
