2022-2023 Undergraduate Scholarships and Awards
Dr. Steven J. Morris Memorial Scholarship in Psychological Sciences
Designed to honor Dr. Steven J. Morris, the Morris Memorial Scholarship is used to support a continuing student majoring in the department with a demonstrated interest in a career in the mental health field and documented financial need. The scholarship is administered through the HHS Scholarship application process.

John M. Hadley Outstanding Senior Award
The John M. Hadley Outstanding Senior Award is given to a Psychological Sciences or Brain and Behavioral Sciences major who is recognized for demonstrating excellence in academics, extracurricular service activities, and leadership. This honor comes with a cash award* and the inscription of the awardee’s name on a plaque that hangs in the department.
(*Eligibility for the cash award subject to review of your entire financial aid package by the Division of Financial Aid.)

Criteria and Selection
To apply for this award, you should submit your undergraduate transcript(s), a CV or resume, and a personal statement, along with letters of support from two individuals who can speak to how you meet the criteria for the award. These materials should be emailed directly to Dr. Colin T. William, the Director of Undergraduate Studies and received by noon Eastern Standard Time, November 12, 2024.
Departmental Award for Outstanding Undergraduate Research
These awards are presented at the Department’s annual poster session to undergraduate students for outstanding research.

The James S. Nairne Fund for Undergraduate Research
For the purchase of materials, equipment, or other research-related expenses associated with research conducted by undergraduate majors within the Department of Psychological Sciences.

Beverly H. Nairne Scholarship in Psychological Sciences
Designed to honor Mrs. Beverly H. Nairne, the Nairne Scholarship is used to support an undergraduate student, from Indiana, majoring in the department. The scholarship is administered through the HHS Scholarship application process.
