Biography

Dr. Kim is an Assistant Professor of Psychological Sciences at Purdue University. His research seeks to understand why some people experience healthy cognitive aging while others transition to the earliest stages of Alzheimer’s disease. He focuses particularly on how the brain’s locus coeruleus-noradrenaline system influences age-related changes in attention and emotional processing. Using multimodal and multivariate approaches, he integrates eye tracking, electroencephalography, neuroimaging, behavior, blood-based biomarkers, and cognitive assessments to develop a more complete picture of brain health and aging.
