Colleen Dibble

Colleen is a doctoral candidate in Sport and Entertainment Management at the University of South Carolina, where she is completing her Ph.D. in July 2026. Her research explores brand equity, esports, finance, and marketing, with a particular focus on women’s collegiate basketball. She has presented her work at leading national conferences.

Before returning to academia, Colleen served honorably in the United States Navy from 2009 to 2020. Her service included humanitarian efforts during Operation Tomodachi, work as a paralegal in the JAG Corps, maritime security operations in the Persian Gulf, and serving as a first responder during the 2013 Washington Navy Yard incident. She was recognized as the 2017 USS NIMITZ Sailor of the Year and has received numerous military commendations.

Her experience in the sport industry began at Purdue University in football recruiting operations where she served as a Boiler Gold Ambassador for two seasons. While at the University of South Carolina, Colleen participated in several marquee events including the Masters and Taylor Swift Eras Tour.

Colleen’s accomplishments have also been recognized by Purdue University, where she was named Emerging Voice Award by the College of Liberal Arts in 2016.

Outside of her professional work, she is active with organizations such as Team Semper Fi, Wake for Warriors and Operation Surf, married to Ryan and proud parents of triplets – Grace, Jake, and Molly.
