Gwen Brandenburg

Biography

Gwen graduated with a BSN from Purdue in 1996 and began her career working for Home Hospital/Franciscan Alliance where she worked as a bedside nurse, charge nurse, and unit educator. During her 25 years in the hospital setting, she worked with medical surgical, general surgery, orthopedic surgery, and neurological patient populations. In 2014, she continued her education and graduated from IUPUI with a MSN and is a board-certified Adult Gerontology CNS. Gwen’s enthusiasm for teaching grew as she precepted nurses, developed education, and collaborated with other nursing educators during her career.  As a lifelong Boiler backer, and Purdue alum, Gwen is excited to join the Purdue Nursing team.

Gwen and her husband, Tim, have three sons and are active in their church and love attending sporting events.
