Biography
With a deep-seated belief that good students and great leaders are not born but rather created and passionate about helping students reach their full potential, Kimberly has spent the last 20+ years involved in education from many different vantage points. The majority of these experiences focused on increasing the quality and accessibility of programming.
Her most recent role as executive director of a small independent school introduced her to the philanthropic world and she came to appreciate more fully the beauty of the giving process. What was once a burden, getting student programs funded, became a joy as the close relationships she built with donors went far beyond the surface. As executive director she successfully led the organization’s strategic planning and execution, increased donor giving and retention through increased donor engagement, and oversaw the school’s fiscal health.
Building on Kimberly’s degree in International Relations from Brigham Young University, she and her husband, Ben, have raised their family on three continents and in six states. It has been an adventure that has fueled her love for different cultures and has been an education in the nuances of communication within those distinct cultures. These many varied perspectives have been the foundation of her success in leading diverse teams.
In her free time, you’ll find Kimberly outside gardening, running, cycling, and paddle boarding.
