Advice For Students

College goes by faster than you think, so take it seriously but not so seriously that you forget to enjoy it. Stay on top of your responsibilities, because falling behind is harder to fix than you expect, and don’t be afraid to ask for help when you need it. Try things that push you outside your comfort zone, even if you’re not sure you’ll be good at them because that is where a lot of the growth happens. At the same time, don’t stress if you don’t have everything figured out right away. Most people don’t. Your plans, interests, and goals will probably change, and that’s a normal part of the college experience. Focus on building good habits, surrounding yourself with supportive people, and taking care of yourself. If you can find a balance between working hard and actually enjoying where you are, you’ll get a lot more out of your college experience than just a degree.
