Biography

Dr. Adeola, a Clinical Associate Professor of Nursing, has been a medical surgical nurse for 25 years, is a clinical nurse specialist (CNS), and a certified oncology nurse (OCN). Dr. Adeola received Bachelor of science in nursing and Master of nursing from Purdue University, Indiana, and Doctor of Philosophy in nursing from New Mexico State University, Las Cruces, New Mexico. Dr. Adeola’s passions include patient safety, patient comfort, and nurse comfort. Her studies have focused on (1) patient safety and comfort, (2) student nurse comfort with patient care, (3) registered nurse comfort and mood, and (4) nurse job retention. Dr. Adeola has been awarded the Carnegie African Diaspora Fellowship by the Institute of International Education and is currently working with a nursing department in Nigeria on research curricula revisions. She is also a member of the 2022-2023 Midwest Nursing Research Society Leadership Academy.
