Research Engineer and Programmer

Department of Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences

Biography

I am a Research Engineer and Programmer in the Heinz Lab at Purdue University’s Department of Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences. My work brings together artificial intelligence, machine learning, and software engineering to develop practical tools for hearing research.

My current projects include developing deep learning models to analyze auditory brainstem responses and support the identification of waveform features. I am interested in how AI can complement expert judgment, improve consistency, and help researchers work more effectively with complex physiological data.

Alongside model development, I build research software, data platforms, and applications that support data collection, organization, visualization, and integration. I collaborate with researchers and technical teams to understand their needs and turn those requirements into usable tools and connected workflows.

I hold a Master of Science in Computer and Information Technology from Purdue University. My broader interests include applied AI, research software engineering, and building reliable systems that connect data, analysis, and practical use.
