Biography
Will Evans is the Senior Data and Accreditation Specialist for the Department of Public Health at Purdue University. Throughout his 10 years at Purdue, Will has worked in several capacities to further health promotion and prevention work on campus. His work resulted in the construction of new well-being facility spaces at Purdue, health campaigns, and increased services for students including social support groups, alcohol prevention education, and more.
Will was a co-creator of the Health and Wellness Coach specialization track within the College of Health and Kinesiology where he served as an instructor for four years. He founded the Perspective Project to embed well-being in the academic classroom which received both university and national awards. He has also helped conduct research of novel health communication modalities alongside faculty from the Brian Lamb School of Communication.
Will has served as President of the Mid-American College Health Association where he helped promote best practices to other institutions in the region. Currently he serves as a member of the American College Health Association’s Committee to Advance Health Promotion Resources. Will graduated from the University of West Georgia with a master’s degree in professional counseling in higher education.
