Certificate Overview

This 15-hour (two-semester) certificate serves as an Introduction to Sport Management. Students can transfer credits from the program to our Masters in Sport Management program.

Select three core courses (9 hours) from: Sport Analytics; Sport Administration; Sport Law and Ethics; The Business of Sport; Marketing, Revenue Generation, and Sales in Sport; and Organizational Behavior/Leadership in Sport. Select two courses (6 hours) from the electives listed in below (these are not exclusive).

Please note that not all courses are taught every semester.

The sport industry is complex, requiring knowledge in various academic fields. The Purdue University Master of Science in Sport Management is an interdisciplinary program offered by the Department of Health and Kinesiology. Courses are taught at both the Indianapolis and West Lafayette Purdue University locations.
