This is a traditional postbaccalaureate track. Most full-time students graduate within two years of matriculation.
Dual-Degree; PhD/MS/MA + MPH
This is an ideal track for current graduate students pursuing a PhD/MS/MA on Purdue’s campus. Plans of study are developed that permit the completion of both degrees simultaneously or with only one or two additional semesters of coursework. Anyone interested in pursuing an MPH in combination with another graduate degree must apply separately to each degree program. You may also apply to the MPH program at the time of initial application for graduate study or subsequently during graduate training. However, you can only accept enrollment into one degree program each term.
Combined Master’s (4+1); BS/BA-MPH
In this track, you are completing a bachelor’s degree in one of the following selected units while also pursuing an MPH degree. Application to the MPH occurs in the spring of your junior year and MPH coursework begins the fall of your senior year. It takes an additional year postbaccalaureate to complete the MPH degree. Students applying to this track must have a cumulative 3.5 undergraduate GPA.
4+1 Participating Units:
- Consumer Science
- Food Science
- Health and Kinesiology
- Health Sciences
- Hospitality and Tourism Management
- Human Development and Family Science
- Nutrition Science
- Psychological Sciences
- Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences
Residential (100% in-person)
In the residential program, you take all courses on Purdue’s West Lafayette campus allowing you to engage fully in university life. You may enroll as either a full- or part-time student. Full-time students complete their degree program within two years while part-time students typically take three years. This delivery method works well for individuals who can dedicate time to in-person courses while balancing other requirements. The residential program is fully developed to cover all requirements for both concentration areas in biostatistics and family and community health.
Online (100% online)
The 100% online program option is flexible for students who have completed their bachelor’s degree and meet the admissions requirements for the online program.
