School of Health Sciences
The School of Health Sciences is home to a variety of disciplines and scientific approaches to human health, including biomedical health sciences, medical laboratory sciences, medical physics, health physics, toxicology, and occupational and environmental health sciences. Department of Nutrition Science
The Department of Nutrition Science educates students and conducts the highest caliber research in a diverse and inclusive environment. We work to maximize didactic and experiential learning through our recognized accredited didactic and coordinated programs in dietetics. Using basic, clinical and applied methods, our transformative research aims to generate and translate knowledge that will influence practice and policy as well as improve nutrition in individuals of all ages. Researchers have access to cutting-edge technologies through the Clinical Research Center and Purdue’s Office of the Executive Vice President for Research and Partnerships. Lecturer – Nursing
JOB SUMMARY
Principle Duties: The School of Nursing at Purdue University West Lafayette Campus is seeking energetic and innovative faculty for a Lecturer position. We are committed to advancing diversity in all areas of faculty effort, including teaching and engagement. Candidates should address instruction and engagement in their cover letter, indicating their past experiences, current interests or activities, and/or future goals. The successful candidate(s) will possess a passion for innovation and developing nurse leaders who can transform healthcare. The candidate(s) willbe open to the use of technology, simulation and creative pedagogies that contribute to the growth and development of baccalaureate nursing students. Teaching settings include classroom, clinical, and simulation. Clinical expertise in Obstetric/Women’s Health, Medical-Surgical, and/or Psychiatric Mental Health nursing preferred. Individuals in this role will contribute to the teaching and service missions of the University, College of Health and Human Sciences, and School of Nursing.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Master’s degree in Nursing required
- Clinical experience (minimum 3 years)
- Eligibility for RN licensure in Indiana
- Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
Associate Administrative Assistant
Job Summary
Under direct supervision, provide general administrative support for an individual, group of professionals, department, program or other administrative function. Serve as first point of contact. Draft routine correspondence, schedule appointments, organize and maintain paper and electronic files, or provide information to callers and visitors. Assist with various other support functions as needed.
Department of Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences
The Department of Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences is home to a thriving interdisciplinary community of clinicians and scientists who focus on speech and hearing sciences, neuroscience, audiology, speech-language pathology and linguistics. Collaborations between clinics and research are encouraged through the M.D. Steer clinics, which provide diagnostic and rehabilitative services to more than 2,000 patients each year. The department has accredited and top-ranked clinical programs in audiology and speech-language pathology as well as stellar bachelor’s, master’s and PhD programs. and awards Bachelors, Masters, AuD, and PhD degrees.
