Biography
My research is defined by two broad areas. First, I study how individual differences (e.g., personality traits and intelligence) impact critical work behavior and performance. My ongoing work in this area addresses foundational questions such as how different traits come together to affect job performance. I also aim to advance trait measurement by applying best practice psychometric methods. Second, I study study collaborative relationships central to the future of work, including teams, leadership, as well as partnerships between human and artificial intelligence (AI). In particular, I study AI that is socially interactive (e.g., robots, chatbots) to better understand how people perceive and engage with these agents. Much of my research explores the intersection of these two areas by investigating how individual differences impact interpersonal dynamics at work.
