Biography
Upon graduating from Indiana University in May 1999, Colleen began working at Riley Hospital for Children. As her nursing practice developed, she found she enjoyed teaching and mentoring new staff and students. Colleen’s passion for teaching and mentoring directed her next career endeavor as a Clinical Educator while completing her Masters degree in Nursing Education. She worked under a collaborative effort as adjunct faculty for IU Health and IU School of Nursing while completing a Pediatric Clinical Nurse Specialist post masters certificate. Colleen has worked on the step-down cardiac and cardiac intensive care unit where she is able to share her knowledge, expertise, and experience with Purdue University’s elite clinical students.
Colleen has been married to her husband Brett since 1995. They have a 2 children, a daughter who graduated from the University of Colorado, and a son who attends Purdue University!
Colleen’s focus area is Pediatrics (specifically pulmonary and congenital cardiac defects).
