Biography
My research program explores the mechanistic basis of human neurovascular control and how prevalent diseases such as hypertension and heart failure strike and impair autonomic and vascular function. Through an integrative approach that includes cutting-edge assessment of autonomic/vascular function (using techniques such as Microneurography, Doppler ultrasonography, and nuclear imaging) and the application of pharmacological/invasive procedures, the ultimate goal of my research program relies on identifying therapeutic targets and proposing potential interventions to prevent, treat or restore neurovascular function in clinical populations.
