Penny Kelly

Biography

Penny is an Air Force veteran, who honorably served during Operation Desert Storm. She began working for the Indiana Department of Correction shorty after her discharge at an all-male juvenile correctional facility. She oversaw the daily operations and management of several different administrative areas during her 13 years there. She joined Purdue University in 2009 as the office manager in the Biology department supervising and ensuring day-to-day processes were implemented and followed. In 2014, she joined the College of Agriculture’s Office of Academic Programs, where she spent seven years as the lead administrative assistant to the associate dean & director. She joined HDFS in April 2022 as the new administrative manager and executive assistant. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, gardening, and spending time at home with her family. She is a wife, a mother of four adult children, and a “nana” to 11 grandchildren, which is her favorite title to hold.

  • Bachelors of Science in Industrial/Organizational Psychology
