Biography
Rachelle received her doctorate in Human Development from her native county at the University of California, Irvine, where she studied father involvement and its impact on the child, marriage, and school community. She came to Purdue University in 2000 for a postdoc position with the Military Family Research Institute under the direction of Distinguished Professor of Human Development and Family Studies, Dr. Shelley MacDermid Wadsworth. Rachelle left academia to pursue a career in evaluation research, raise four children, and serve as a volunteer Court Appointed Special Advocate for children. She returned to Purdue in 2020 to manage the iCAN Lab for Associate Professor Dr. Sarah Karalunas in Clinical Psychology and looks forward to her youngest children attending Purdue in the next few years!
