Biography
After graduating from Purdue with a bachelor’s degree in psychology, I worked at the Mental Health Association briefly to facilitate groups for individuals with schizophrenia, depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder.
Starting in 2002, I became the Property Manager of Wabash Landing Apartments, Garage, and Retail Spaces. I truly enjoyed this opportunity to oversee management, accounting, leadership, teamwork, marketing, and work with contract maintenance. After nine years, I moved on to spend more time with my family.
I began working as a paraprofessional at my kids’ school. Working with so many exceptional children became an incredibly fulfilling opportunity; for six years, I was with Tippecanoe School Corporation and five years with West Lafayette Intermediate School as an interventionist /paraprofessional. I was blessed to help children with special needs. Some experiences included kids on the autism spectrum, down’s syndrome, brain disorders, learning disabilities, behavioral disabilities, ADHD, and more. I was very grateful for the opportunity to work with a fantastic group of teachers and children. I pride myself in learning from all my life opportunities to continue learning and growing.
