The HHS I&E Fellow works closely with the dean and associate dean for the College of Health and Human Sciences (HHS) to serve HHS faculty and students who are interested in entrepreneurship. The position is part of a campus-wide initiative led by the Purdue Research Foundation and Purdue Innovates to raise awareness of the resources available to faculty and students in their entrepreneurial efforts. The position resides in the HHS Office of Research.

HHS Dean’s Fellow for Integration of Human and Community Research

Term: 11/1/25-11/1/26

The HHS Dean’s Fellow for Integration of Human and Community Research assists the College of Health and Human Sciences (HHS) and Purdue University with the coordination of community-based and health-focused research. The position mentors HHS colleagues on how best to leverage basic science for translational work; promotes and pursues HHS partnerships relative to One Health human-focused research across Purdue and Indiana; facilitates the recruitment of research participants throughout Indiana and offers administrative support for sustaining the HHS Research Registry; and fosters connections with the Indiana Clinical and Translational Institute and similar organizations on behalf of HHS, Purdue and Indiana. The position resides in the HHS Office of Research.

HHS Dean’s Fellow

Term: 7/1/25-7/1/26

The HHS Dean’s Fellow leads College of Health and Human Sciences (HHS) initiatives designed to strengthen and align human subjects and health-related research across campus. The position assesses institutional and partner needs by identifying critical human health data priorities and translating them into actionable technical and strategic requirements. The position leads the design and coordination of a secure, HIPAA-compliant data platform that supports research, clinical and community engagement use cases for Purdue and external collaborators, working closely with stakeholders who utilize the HHS Research Registry. The position fosters collaborations by cultivating partnerships within Purdue and externally across academia, industry and government to expand data access, drive innovation and increase funding opportunities. The position also develops sustainable business and revenue models to ensure long-term relevance, usability and cross-disciplinary impact. In addition, the position advances data-driven discovery by supporting interdisciplinary research efforts and making high-quality, ethically managed human well-being and health data accessible and impactful. This includes leading efforts to leverage AI for data discovery. The position resides in the HHS Office of Research.
