Biography
Mark completed his first degree in May 1994, a Bachelor’s of Arts degree from Purdue University with a concentration in photography. After a lengthy career as a photographer Mark completed an Associates Degree in Nursing from Ivy Tech Community College in May of 2014. His first job as an RN was in the Progressive Care Unit at Indiana University Health Arnett in Lafayette, IN. Mark completed his Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Nursing at Western Governor’s University in June 2016 and his Master’s Degree in Nursing Education at Western Governor’s in December 2016.
Mark began his nursing education career by returning to his alma mater of Ivy Tech where he taught Pharmacology and Medical/Surgical Nursing. Mark Joined the faculty of Purdue University in August 2018. Mark has a passion for nursing and nursing education with a strong focus on culturally competent nursing, caring and empathy when providing care for patients. Mark is currently working on his Doctor of Education Degree through Capella University.
Mark and his wife, Wendi, Have two sons and enjoy volunteerism, travel, soccer and international foods.
